About the role
Role & responsibilities Lead T&I engineering review and MWS approval process for offshore transportation, installation, and lifting operations Oversee structural/marine analysis (seafastening, grillage, lifting, towage, barge stability) across projects Manage and mentor a team of MWS surveyors and structural engineers Own client and classification society relationships for T&I/MWS scope Review and approve engineering deliverables: transport analysis, stability studies, lashing/seafastening calculations, lifting plans, towage approval Represent Adonia at load-out, sea-fastening, and installation operations as lead MWS authority Drive business development and technical proposals for new MWS/T&I engagements Ensure compliance with classification society and marine warranty requirements (ABS, DNV, IRS, etc.) Preferred candidate profile Degree in Mechanical / Structural / Naval Architecture Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred) Minimum 5 years' experience in MWS/T&I, with prior team leadership Strong command of structural/marine analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSYS, MOSES, etc.) Deep knowledge of T&I engineering: seafastening, towage, lifting, transport analysis Proven track record leading offshore EPCI/marine warranty projects Strong client-facing, leadership, and report-review skills Willingness to travel extensively Preferred Member of SOMWS (Society of Marine Warranty Surveyors)
