Title: QA Automation Engineer Duration: 12+ months Client : EOHHS Location: 1 Enterprise Drive Quincy MA. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM EST. This position is expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed. Rate : $50/hour on W2. MUST HAVES- Strong test automation experience — proven ability to build and scale automation frameworks from scratch (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) across UI and API testing Agile/SAFe QA expertise — hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect management in a Scaled Agile environment Salesforce + integration testing experience — including APIs, data validation, and end-to-end testing across integrated systems PREFERRED- Healthcare, public sector, or government project experience Certifications — SAFe (Teams/Practitioner) and/or Salesforce (Admin/Associate) Additional tools & tech — Snowflake and test management tools like Zephyr or QMetry DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Architecting a scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation framework from scratch (e.g., using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) tailored to support both UI and API testing across various Agile teams. • Defining automation scope, test data management, and environment strategies that align with Program Increment (PI) planning and support the Agile Release Train objectives. • Establishing governance and standardizing automated testing processes to prevent duplication and ensure consistency across multiple distributed Agile teams working on the same value • Create modular, scalable, and reusable test scripts to prevent redundancy across multiple cross-functional Agile teams. • Analyze automated test results and promptly collaborate with developers to fix test failures or escalating issues. • Collaborating with the team to define clear acceptance criteria, shifting left by baking in testability and Test-Driven Development practices during PI increments. • Develop, execute, and document detailed test plans and test cases for new and • Perform functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing across multiple work streams with a focus on data integrity and validation. • Test configurations, workflows, and integrations with external data sources. • Test across roles and permissions to validate privacy and security. • Log, track, and manage defects using QMetry or Zephyr and Jira, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams. • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive testing documentation. Collaborate with business stakeholders to support user acceptance testing and ensure testing activities align with project goals and timelines. • Provide actionable feedback to improve product usability, performance, and reliability. • Stay current with QA best practices, tools, and emerging testing approaches, including test automation. Qualifications Required: • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or testing (or equivalent training/education). • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, with proven experience in test planning, execution and defect management within the Scaled Agile Framework. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and edge cases. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent in written clarity and documentation • Excellent in verbal articulation in interaction with both technical and non-technical members such as developers and business teams during testing process. • High proficiency in automation frameworks across the Continuous Delivery Pipeline (Acceptance Test Driven Development) to ensure quality is built-in rather than inspected at the end. • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with team members. • Experience testing Salesforce applications, APIs, and integrations. • Adaptable and quick learner with new systems, tools, and processes. • Experience with data validation testing across integrated systems. • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence Preferred: • Experience working in public health, healthcare, or government IT projects is a plus • Certification in SAFe for Teams or SAFe Practitioner (Preferred). • Salesforce Associate Certification or Salesforce Administrator Certification • Experience with Snowflake • Experience using Zephyr, or QMetry for test case management lifecycle. Work Environment: • This position is a full-time position with a hybrid setting, i.e. remote and with some level of on-site attendance expected (schedule driven by project ceremonies) • Requires reliable internet connection participate in virtual meetings without technology issues. • Must adhere to internal organizational and project policies and compliance requirements • Must practice professional code of conduct, respectful communication and collaboration and a supportive remote culture. • Attendance at periodic in-person meetings, project ceremonies or workshops is required.
