Embedded Linux kernel device driver Developement Lead

THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Software Development Engineer to design and develop critical embedded software components. As part of a core team of embedded specialists, you will work on cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, contributing to the success of next-generation AMD products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain various embedded peripheral drivers for Linux and Baremetal environments. Participate in hardware bring-up activities. Debug and resolve existing issues while exploring innovative, efficient solutions. Collaborate with AMD architecture teams to influence and enhance future product designs. Apply data-driven approaches to optimize performance and efficiency. Stay current with emerging trends in software, hardware, algorithms, and architecture. Build and maintain strong technical relationships with peers and partners. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development. Expertise in embedded C programming. Hands-on experience with Linux kernel, and device driver development. Proven track record in hardware/SoC bring-up. Solid understanding of silicon domain and hardware-software integration. Strong knowledge of ARM architectures. Familiarity with Git and version control best practices. Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
