Job Description We are seeking Principal Electrical Design Engineer- (Water/Wastewater/Desalination) in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Water & Wastewater Treatment projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team. Responsible for Providing technical input into project design deliverables for Electrical aspects of complex multidisciplinary projects and work with the project management team to successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programs. Prepares a variety of increasingly complex engineering deliverables. Performs research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Prepares increasingly complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles. Acquainted with the Electrical design softwares used in the industry for electrical calculations and sizing. Responsible for leading and producing technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications, Control Philosophies, Control Network Architecture. Work independently with minimal technical guidance. Exercise personal judgement to solve difficult problems where appropriate and provide guidance to junior team members. Provide technical support for bid proposals. Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects to deliver integrated design solutions. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design including check and review of own work as well as others. Work in and lead teams to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to highquality levels. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: B.E./M.Tech. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering field from a recognized university. 10 to 16 Years of experience in wastewater/water industry. Design (Concept, FEED and Detail Design) of Electrical Distribution Systems for - Low Voltage, High Voltage Electrical system Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process and related engineering works-Pumping Stations, Desalination etc Prepare Design Basis, Load list, Cable schedule, Interconnection Schedule, Single Line Diagrams, schematics, Bulk MTO. Perform Equipment sizing calculations e.g. Transformer, Generator, HV/LV Cables, AC UPS, Capacitor Banks Perform indoor Lighting, outdoor area Illumination and Street Illumination in Dialux or vendor software, calculations for Earthing and Lightning Protection. Hands on experience of System Studies software like ETAP/SKM/Amtech Experience in modeling electrical system and carry out load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protection relay setting studies Additional Information At AECOM, our Freedom to Grow philosophy supports flexibility and balance to help our people thrive.
