Cloud Platform Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Platform Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will not only gain hands-on experience in building reusable cloud platforms but work on novel system design challenges. Interns will receive mentorship in various areas of computer engineering tailored for our micro SaaS platform serving biotech and engineering companies. Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain serverside components and features for our micro SaaS platform, providing guidance on best practices and code quality. 2. Implement API interfaces based on provided designs and specs, with a focus on automating code generation. 3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices, nurturing a culture of excellence and attention to detail. 4. Assist in the integration of frontend components with backend APIs, offering insights into effective communication and collaboration between frontend and backend developers. 5. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards, fostering a growth mindset and continuous improvement. 6. Continuously learn and stay updated on the technologies, and disseminating knowledge to help other interns in their professional development journey. 7. Capture system architectures in IaC and technologies to ensure replicability of the designs. 8. Optimize architectures to reduce CapEx and OpEx, understand limits of various cloud technologies to better orchestrate cloud platforms. Candidate Requirements Proficiency in Golang or/and Python Understanding of technology flows: "OAuth", "REST" Familiarity with SQL and RDBMS Understanding of web servers, services, architectures General knowledge about current technologies in infrastructure and hosting building blocks Familiarity with docker and git Comfortable with DSA since Aegion develops frameworks and not one off applications
