Software Developer

Role Overview: As a Software Developer at Aeris Communications Inc., you will be responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing Network Functions of a cloud-based 3GPP compliant 5G SA home network. You will collaborate actively with the tech lead and other team members to deliver tested software in a predictable manner. Key Responsibilities: - Solve Business Problems: Research solutions to solve problems and develop products. - Leverage Cellular Expertise: Utilize domain expertise in Cellular networks (3GPP standards, deployment, operations) to build a cutting-edge Cellular Core SaaS product. - Create Design & Documentation Artifacts: Produce and maintain detailed technical designs, specifications, and documentation to guide both current development and future enhancements. - Implementation: Develop and implement network components using technologies like Java, various databases, and network analysis tools (e.g., pcap, Wireshark, tcpdump) to fulfill feature acceptance criteria. - Technical Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges and optimize network performance. - Adoption of New Technologies: Integrate emerging AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance development processes. Qualification Required: - AI-powered coding assistants and effective prompt engineering, and use GenAI for technical research and documentation. - Proficiency in Java/Golang. - Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis (at least one). - Familiarity with Git source control. - Strong critical thinking skills. - Excellent communicator: able to effectively express ideas and concepts, in both written and spoken forms. - Active participation in internal discussions and demo to customers and in public events. Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of public cloud services like GCP, AWS, or Azure. - Experience with Spring Boot. - Familiarity with Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes. - Proficiency in C/C++. - Understanding of message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc. - Nice to have domain experience in some of the 3GPP Cellular Network Standards. - Experience with API Development & Security, including Oath2, PKI, mTLS, SSL. Education: - BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
