Engines & Power Systems provides the propulsion, auxiliary power and electrical systems that keep aircraft flying. Sr Advanced System Engineer

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Bangalore location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and implementation of innovative solutions that drive operational excellence and enhance the efficiency of our engine and power systems.

YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, or electronics engineering. Expertise in system requirements and control systems. Strong background in hardware and software integration. Familiarity with certification processes and relevant standards (ARP4754, DO-178, DO-160). Good understanding of control systems principles. Experience with MATLAB and Simulink modeling is a plus. Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering practices is a plus. Experience in electric drive control is an optional skill. WE VALUE Previous experience in the engine and power system domain. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies like Digital Engineering and MBSE. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and manage system requirements for power systems products like Generator Controller Unit, Starter Controller Unit and Engine Controller, APU Controller Unit. Design and implement control systems in matlab/Simulink Models, ensuring effective hardware and software integration. Apply knowledge of ARP4754, DO-178, and DO-160 standards in the certification process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Optional: Contribute to electric drive control projects as needed.
