Lead .NET Developer (WPF Desktop Applications) Experience Level: 8+ Years Location: Bangalore/Coimbatore Notice period: 30 days Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .NET Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise-grade desktop applications. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and the .NET ecosystem to build high-performance, scalable, and visually intuitive desktop solutions. You will champion best architectural practices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust software. Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, high-performance desktop applications using C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core/.NET 6+.Develop rich user interfaces utilizing WPF, XAML, and advanced data-binding techniques.Implement architectural patterns strictly adhering to MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) to ensure clean separation of concerns.Optimize application performance by diagnosing and resolving memory leaks, rendering bottlenecks, and concurrency issues.Integrate backend services by consuming RESTful APIs, gRPC, or WCF services securely and efficiently.Lead database design and data access optimization using Entity Framework, ADO.NET, or LINQ.Write clean code by enforcing SOLID principles, design patterns, and comprehensive unit testing (e.g., NUnit, XUnit, Moq).Mentor junior developers through constructive code reviews, technical guidance, and pair programming sessions.Collaborate with stakeholders including UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.Required Technical Skills Core Language: Expert-level proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (Framework and Core).Desktop Technologies: Deep, hands-on mastery of WPF, XAML, Styles, Templates, Triggers, and Custom Controls.Design Patterns: Expert knowledge of the MVVM pattern and associated frameworks (e.g., Prism, MVVM Light, Caliburn.Micro).Multithreading: Strong experience in asynchronous programming (Async/Await), TPL (Task Parallel Library), and background thread management.Tools & Libraries: Experience with third-party WPF UI suites (e.g., Telerik, DevExpress, Infragistics) and dependency injection containers.Soft Skills & Professional Attributes Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of solving complex debugging and architectural challenges.Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Leadership qualities with an ability to take ownership of projects and drive technical decisions.Agile methodology experience, comfortably working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks.Education & Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). .
