ABOUT Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to oversee and manage both network and CCTV surveillance systems across the organization. This role will be responsible for design, implementation, optimization, and team leadership , ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of all infrastructure systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage network and CCTV engineering teams, acting as the single point of ownership for all infrastructure systems Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, and security systems Oversee large-scale IP surveillance systems (500+ cameras), including VMS/NVR platforms, storage, and video retention Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and redesign initiatives aligned with business growth Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and security across network and surveillance environments Drive automation, monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting, including L3/L4 support and root cause analysis Design scalable solutions, evaluate technologies/vendors, and prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and architecture diagrams Manage cross-functional coordination with internal teams, vendors, and OEMs, while ensuring documentation, SOPs, and compliance standards Requirements Strong expertise in networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls) and IP CCTV/VMS platforms Solid knowledge of ONVIF, RTSP, H.264/H.265, along with fiber networks, PoE, structured cabling, and storage/retention systems Experience with network security, monitoring tools, and performance optimization (automation/scripting is a plus) Proven ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong ownership and decision-making skills Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and handling critical incidents Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CCTV/VMS) preferred Experience in multi-site or large-scale infrastructure environments is an advantage.
