Senior Analyst, VBA Automation

Role Overview: At Agoda, as a VBA Automation Specialist in the Finance Operations Excellence team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control at scale. Your role will involve working closely with the Finance operations teams to understand process requirements, identifying technical solution options, and engineering automations for high-volume and control-sensitive workflows. You will play a key role in building reliable, scalable, and well-structured solutions with a focus on maintainability, performance, and user usability. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using Advanced Excel, Macro/VBA, MS Access, SQL, Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps. - Partner with Finance operations teams to understand process requirements and engineer automations for high-volume and control-sensitive workflows. - Develop data models, query logic, input/output structures, and exception-handling routines using Excel, Access, and SQL. - Build and enhance workflow-based solutions using Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps to reduce manual handoffs and improve process standardization. - Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation including solution design notes, process logic, code commenting, SOPs, testing evidence, and user guidance. - Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and proactively identify opportunities to refactor or upgrade existing automations. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. - 5+ years of relevant experience in automation development, VBA/Excel-based engineering, or related technical development roles. - Experience in developing automations for Finance operations is preferred. - Experience in a tech or e-commerce environment is an advantage. - Professional certifications or training in automation, analytics, systems development, or process improvement are a plus.
