About the role
Overview The Network Engineer II supports ADUSA's large-scale network across retail stores, distribution centers, offices, data centers, Equinix, and Azure. The role implements and troubleshoots LAN, WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, firewall connectivity, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring services. The engineer assigned incidents and changes through diagnosis, validation, documentation, and closure, and participates in critical incident response and on-call support. The role implements and troubleshoots LAN, WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, firewall connectivity, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring services Additional Information: The engineer assigned incidents and changes through diagnosis, validation, documentation, and closure, and participates in critical incident response and on-call support. Responsibilities Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity across Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Arista, Fortinet, and Palo Alto environments, including VLANs, STP, LACP, SDWAN, Routing, and NAT. Support retail WAN and SD-WAN across MPLS, broadband, and LTE, including path selection, failover, latency, packet loss, and brownout conditions. Implement approved ServiceNow changes with tested steps, validation evidence, backout plans, and accurate closure records. Support Aruba wireless and ClearPass/NAC, including AP health, client connectivity, authentication, RF performance, and coverage issues. Monitor and troubleshoot with SolarWinds, Datadog, FortiAnalyzer, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow, and packet captures. Support Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM and F5 load-balancing dependencies during incidents and changes. Own assigned incidents through service restoration, technical updates, root-cause analysis, and prevention actions. Maintain network diagrams, inventories, standards, SOPs, MOPs, and configuration records. Build reporting, and repetitive operational tasks. Drive ADUSA MSP to maintain, SOP, runbooks Participate in after-hours changes, on-call rotation, and critical incident support. Support: Support retail WAN and SD-WAN across MPLS, broadband, and LTE, including path selection, failover, latency, packet loss, and brownout conditions. Support Aruba wireless and ClearPass/NAC, including AP health, client connectivity, authentication, RF performance, and coverage issues. Support Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM and F5 load-balancing dependencies during incidents and changes. Maintenance: Maintain network diagrams, inventories, standards, SOPs, MOPs, and configuration records. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of enterprise network operations or engineering experience in a multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, STP, LACP, HSRP/VRRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and VPN technologies. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XE, HPE/Aruba switching, Fortinet FortiGate, and enterprise wireless. Experience troubleshooting SD-WAN, wireless, NAC, routing, and application connectivity issues. Ability to analyze packet captures, flow data, SNMP, and syslog and isolate issues across network, server, cloud, and application boundaries. Experience with ServiceNow incident, change, and problem management processes. Clear technical communication, accurate documentation, and ownership through resolution. Preferred Qualifications: CCNA or equivalent knowledge; CCNP, Fortinet, or Aruba certification is a plus. Experience supporting a large retail or distributed network. Experience with Infoblox, F5, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, SolarWinds, or Datadog. Working knowledge of Equinix and Azure networking. Experience: 3+ years of enterprise network operations or engineering experience in a multi-site environment. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XE, HPE/Aruba switching, Fortinet FortiGate, and enterprise wireless. Experience troubleshooting SD-WAN, wireless, NAC, routing, and application connectivity issues. Experience with ServiceNow incident, change, and problem management processes. Experience supporting a large retail or distributed network. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, STP, LACP, HSRP/VRRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and VPN technologies.
