Architectural Technician Job Description We are searching for a detail-oriented and experienced architectural technician to join our team. The architectural technicians responsibilities include drawing up detailed architectural plans, assisting the architect in the creation of new structures or renovations, and carrying out site visits to ensure the construction aligns with the design. Our ideal candidate has excellent drawing skills, can use drafting software, and understands building techniques and structures. Ultimately, the role of the architectural technician is to assist with the technical aspects of architectural design, from initial concept to completed construction. Skills Bachelors degree in Architectural Technology or related field Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) Previous experience in a similar role within the architecture or construction industry Strong understanding of building codes and regulations Excellent communication and teamwork skills Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools Knowledge of sustainable construction practices Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) processes Associates degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or related discipline Proficiency in CAD software Basic understanding of building codes and standards Strong technical drawing and drafting skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Keen attention to detail Problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Architectural Technician Responsibilities Produce detailed architectural drawings using CAD software Collaborate with architects and engineers to finalize building plans Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations Conduct site visits to gather data and verify measurements Assist in the preparation of design presentations Coordinate with construction teams to address technical issues Review and modify plans as necessary during the project lifecycle Prepare and present reports on project progress Support drafting and design tasks across various project stages Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and preferences Participate in feasibility studies and cost estimations Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements Maintain and organize project documentation and records
