About the role
As a proactive and customer-focused Network Engineer / SD-WAN Engineer, your role will involve ensuring optimal performance of the company's services for its customers by leveraging your extensive knowledge in network and security technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, and operate service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks. - Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and its operation. - Utilize knowledge on WAN technologies and protocols such as MPLS, MPLS based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, and Multicast. - Showcase expert level expertise in Routing, Switching including L2/L3 protocols and SDWAN products from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, and Aruba. - Administer Linux systems and configurations. - Oversee the SD-WAN managed service for customers, ensuring optimized configurations. - Manage and execute changes or developments in customers' network or applications. - Perform troubleshooting and incident management for high & all priority issues within specified timeframes. - Handle technical inquiries and service-related inquiries from customers. - Ensure SD-WAN network infrastructure operates at optimal levels. - Participate in critical maintenance windows and track TAC cases through to problem resolution. - Raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA's) and track them through to resolution. - Engage in meetings and reviews with customers, providing reports on performance and projects.
