Product Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Product Architect for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of VMware to Nutanix AHV migrations while providing technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the transformation journey . Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Product Architect Job Responsibilities include: Lead and execute enterprise-scale migrations from VMware vSphere to Nutanix AHV, ensuring minimal disruption and successful adoption.

Serve as the primary Nutanix Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best-practice recommendations.

Assess existing VMware environments and develop comprehensive migration strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans.

Design and implement target-state Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) architectures aligned with business and operational requirements.

Mentor and train internal infrastructure teams on Nutanix deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and operational support.

Conduct migration workshops, review technical designs, and provide oversight throughout deployment, testing, and post-migration support activities.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

15+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Nutanix architecture and implementation experience.

Proven experience leading multiple VMware vSphere to Nutanix AHV migration projects in large enterprise environments.

Strong expertise in Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), datacenter transformation initiatives, technical leadership, consulting, and mentoring infrastructure teams.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
