Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Torrance, CA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience developing and supporting data acquisition, test automation, and process control systems for engineering and industrial applications . Rate Range: $50/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and implement software applications for data acquisition, test automation, and process control systems.

Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs to support testing and operational requirements.

Integrate test instruments such as power analyzers, power supplies, flow meters, pressure scanners, and temperature measurement devices into control systems.

Develop and maintain LabVIEW-based applications and software solutions to improve data collection, monitoring, and system performance.

Participate in software testing, validation, debugging, and certification activities to ensure quality and reliability of developed solutions.

Collaborate with engineering teams to support system installations, process improvements, and ongoing maintenance of test and control systems.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in software development with a focus on data acquisition, test systems, or process control systems.

Hands-on experience with Beckhoff PLC programming, along with strong LabVIEW development skills.

Experience integrating test instrumentation, including power analyzers, power supplies, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature measurement devices into control systems.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
