Quality Assurance Engineer ETL Tester

Role Description : This full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Engineer – ETL Tester role is based in Jodhpur. The individual in this position will design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration workflows to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Day-to-day responsibilities include validating data transformations, performing regression and functional testing on ETL jobs, and identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution in collaboration with development and data engineering teams. The role also involves analyzing source-to-target mappings, reviewing technical specifications, and creating test data sets that reflect real-world scenarios. The ETL Tester will contribute to continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements, implementing test automation where appropriate, and supporting performance and scalability testing of data solutions. Qualifications: Strong ETL and data testing skills, including experience validating data transformations, source-to-target mappings, and data quality across multiple systems. Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write complex queries to verify data integrity, perform data profiling, and support root-cause analysis. Hands-on experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Pentaho, or similar) and familiarity with scheduling and monitoring ETL jobs. Knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing practices. Experience using test management and issue-tracking tools (such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent) to document test cases, track execution, and manage defects. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, with clear written and verbal communication skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail in working with large and complex datasets. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related Required skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of ETL/Data QA experience. Strong SQL Server knowledge. Advanced SQL querying skills. Experience validating ETL pipelines. Strong understanding of relational databases. Experience testing data warehouses or reporting platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile environments. Strong English communication skills.
