About the role
As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the project's success by understanding and analyzing requirements, managing project planning, tracking, and reporting, and providing development and support for high-priority systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Understanding the project's vision and requirements, and contributing to the creation of supplemental requirements and low-level technical specifications. - Estimating tasks and resources required for designing, building, and testing assigned module(s). - Supporting project planning activities, evaluating risks, and ensuring project/modules are on track with respect to schedules and quality. - Creating detailed designs for assigned pieces with possible alternate solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements, and submitting them for review. - Building code for high-priority and complex systems according to functional specifications, detailed design, and coding standards. - Conducting peer reviews of code, ensuring compliance with defined standards, and recommending changes as necessary. - Attending test design walkthroughs, performing impact analysis for assigned issues, and assisting with project- and code-level problem-solving. - Reviewing technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and usability, and documenting unit test results. - Adhering to project and support processes, best practices, approved policies, procedures, and methodologies such as the SDLC cycle. - Acting as a technical subject matter expert for the internal team, coaching and mentoring team members, and building team skills through training sessions. - Creating and maintaining knowledge repositories for lessons learned and developments in respective domains.
