Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training) About The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more capable AI systems — and we need practitioners who know what real security work actually looks like. If you've spent time in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security, this is a rare opportunity to apply that expertise in a new and impactful way. You'll work with realistic security scenarios, CVE data, and remediation workflows to help evaluate and improve how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments Classify severity, exploitability, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems Apply your real-world judgment to distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security Solid familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC) Able to think clearly about tradeoffs between theoretical severity and operational risk Structured, analytical communicator who can explain security reasoning clearly in writing Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar platforms Familiarity with cloud or containerized infrastructure security Background in threat intelligence, red teaming, or security engineering Prior exposure to AI evaluation or data annotation workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Make a meaningful impact on how AI understands real-world cybersecurity Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
