About the role
Senior Manager – IT Enterprise Applications Experience: 12–15 Years Location: Kota / Bangalore Travel: Should be comfortable with extensive travel to Kota Role Overview We are looking for a highly hands-on technology leader to drive Enterprise Applications, System Architecture & Security, Automation and Digital Transformation at ALLEN. The person should combine strong enterprise application and business process knowledge with an architectural mindset and hands-on technical capability. They should be comfortable going behind applications and working with code, APIs, databases, integrations, workflows and system architecture to solve business problems. This is an implementation-focused role with strong emphasis on speed, ownership and getting things done. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Applications & Digital Transformation • Own and drive enterprise applications across Sales, Finance, HR, Academics, Operations, IT and other business functions. • Lead implementation, modernization and optimization of enterprise platforms. • Understand applications beyond their front-end — including architecture, data models, APIs, integrations and backend capabilities. • Evaluate new technologies and convert business requirements into scalable solutions. System Architecture & Integrations • Think like an enterprise architect while designing every solution — considering scalability, security, integration, maintainability and long-term impact. • Design how applications, databases, APIs and services should connect and exchange data across the enterprise ecosystem. • Avoid isolated solutions and ensure new implementations fit into the broader enterprise architecture. • Make sound build vs. buy, integration and technology architecture decisions while remaining hands-on during implementation. Application Security & Secure Architecture • Embed security by design across enterprise applications, integrations, APIs and internally developed solutions. • Ensure strong authentication, authorization, SSO, RBAC, data protection and secure API/integration practices across the application landscape. • Identify application-level security risks and vulnerabilities and drive remediation proactively. • Ensure security is considered during architecture and development, rather than as a post-implementation activity. • Work with Cybersecurity teams on security assessments, audits and compliance while retaining ownership of application security. Salesforce CRM & Sales Technology • Drive Salesforce CRM end-to-end, including architecture, business processes, automation, integrations and adoption. • Improve sales productivity, lead management, customer engagement and operational visibility through technology. • Build integrations and automation around Salesforce rather than depending only on standard application capabilities. ERP, Finance & HR Applications • Drive implementations across Oracle ERP, Zoho and other ERP/HRMS platforms. • Have strong understanding of P2P, O2C, R2R, H2R and other enterprise processes. • Drive integrations across ERP, banks, payment systems, HRMS, CRM and other enterprise applications. • Automate and simplify complex Finance, HR and operational processes. Service Delivery & IT Operations • Drive ITSM, Contact Centre, LMS, Device Management and other operational applications. • Automate onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning/de-provisioning, software allocation and service workflows. • Improve application reliability, scalability and user experience through technology and automation. Automation, Development & Engineering • Continuously identify manual processes and automate them using code, APIs, scripts, workflows or AI. • Personally write code/scripts, build prototypes and develop integrations whenever required. • Build internal applications and rapid solutions instead of always depending on vendors or off-the-shelf products. • Be technology-agnostic — the ability to understand, architect and build matters more than knowledge of a particular programming language. Implementation & Ownership • Own initiatives from problem → architecture → solution → build → integration → go- live → stabilization. • Drive multiple implementations simultaneously with speed and strong execution. • Manage teams and vendors where required while remaining personally hands-on with technology. • Take ownership of problems and drive them to closure rather than waiting for someone else to provide the solution. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a builder, architect, problem solver and implementer who happens to be a Senior Manager — not someone who has moved away from technology into only managing teams. When given a problem, the person's natural instinct should be to understand the architecture, explore the technology, investigate, code, automate and find a solution rather than asking who can do it. They should naturally look behind every application — at its architecture, APIs, database, integrations, data flow and workflows — and understand how it fits into the larger enterprise technology ecosystem. They don't need to know every technology on Day 1. What matters is the mindset: I don't know this yet, but I'll understand the architecture, figure it out, build the solution and get it implemented. The ideal candidate should be architectural in thinking, hands-on in execution, curious, technically fearless, fast-moving and highly accountable.
