About the role
As a Specialist - Networking Engineering Services at Allianz Commercial, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise routing and switching infrastructure using Cisco Nexus and IOS XE platforms. Your primary focus will be on providing second/third level support for the Global Network Edge (CNC) Operations Team. Your role will involve working with Cisco Routing/Switching solutions deployed globally within Allianz. It is essential for you to have around 6-10 years of relevant infrastructure experience with hands-on expertise in Cisco Routing, Switching, and Data Center Technologies. Additionally, having a fundamental grasp of AI tools will be beneficial. Experience/Domain Knowledge needed: - Primary Skills (L3 Level expertise - mandatory requirement): - Cisco Routing/Switching - Cisco Data center Technologies Responsibilities: - Support the design, implementation, and upgrade of Layer 2 and Layer 3 infrastructure using Cisco Nexus and IOS XE routers/switches for the global Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution. - Provide L2/L3 level Escalation Operational support for the Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution. - Own and evolve the enterprise routing and switching architecture, including data center and WAN connectivity. - Incident/Change and Problem Management support for the Global Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution. - Collaborate with Vendors (e.g. Cisco) and Service providers for escalated issues until resolution. - Work closely with Architecture, Engineering, and various internal and external delivery and support teams to ensure optimal support for the Allianz Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution. - Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning for network infrastructure. - Proactively manage client engagement, technology lifecycle development, and planning, coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. - Support the Information Security Officer and the Audit Units for periodic Audits/PT on the Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution. - Document infrastructure design, procedures, and processes as part of Operational support activities. - Mentor and provide Technical guidance for the L1 Cisco Network Edge (CNC) Operations teams, as needed. - Must be flexible to support 24/7 operations as required and willing to provide on-call support outside regular business hours.
