About the role
Role & responsibilities Cost Estimation & Modeling: Calculating raw material, machining, labor, and machine hour rates. Blueprint & Drawing Analysis: Reviewing engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Supplier & Market Benchmarking: Evaluating vendor quotations, leading price negotiations, and performing value engineering Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with R&D, procurement, and production teams to hit target product costs. Should have knowledge of IEC/Ex/UL/CE product and certification Preferred candidate profile Candidate with 5+ years of experience in costing Strong knowledge in design tools Expertise in SOLIDWORKS, SHEETMETAL/ERP /Excel Proficiency in Drawing Reading and converting 2D Drawings into 3D models. Basic Knowledge on GD & T. Good Analytical and Communication Skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform as part of a team.
