About the Role:The Application Support Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of SIRVA s applications This position is responsible for providing Tier 2 support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance application efficiency The role also involves identifying improvement opportunities, driving technical initiatives, and coaching other team members within the Application Support function Key Responsibilities: Provide Tier 2 support for SIRVA applications and escalate issues to Tier 3 when necessary Identify, document, and address root causes of application problems Lead initiatives to improve application reliability and performance Create and maintaincomprehensive documentation including architecture, configuration, integrations, procedures, and known errors Plan, configure, and maintain monitoring tools to ensure timely response to alerts Install, configure, and maintain SIRVA applications to ensure consistency across environments Collaborate effectively with team members within Application Support and other technical/non-technical teams to ensure efficient resolution and knowledge sharing Qualifications Skills:Education / Certification:Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered) Microsoft MCSE (Server Infrastructure) certification is an asset Experience: 5+ years experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting technologies built on the Microsoft Windows stack (IIS 7+, .NET, SQL Server) Experience in web application development and understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) Proficient in MS Transact-SQL Experience with Azure DevOps and PowerShell scripting Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Understanding of TCP/IP-based services including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, and SMTP is an asset Familiarity with ITIL Change Management processes Experience using defect tracking tools for documenting software and hardware issues Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while providing proactive updates Collaborative team player who fosters transparency and teamwork Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
