Job Title: System Administrator Job Type: Full-time Reports to: Principal / Manager IT

Key Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain the Organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal network security. • Implement and maintain network security protocols, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. • Manage and maintain the Institution's server infrastructure, including file servers, email servers, and domain controllers. • Perform routine server maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and availability. • Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. • Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control. • Install, update, and maintain software applications used in the educational environment, including learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and classroom software. • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. • Manage inventory and perform hardware maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed. • Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and repair services. • Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for reference and training purposes. • Create and update IT policies and guidelines as necessary. • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate technology into the curriculum effectively. • Assist in planning and implementing technology initiatives to enhance the educational experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred). Relevant certifications Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator will be a plus. Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in an educational setting. Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and software applications commonly used in schools/colleges. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for providing technical support and collaborating with various stakeholders.
