QA Engineer

Key responsibility Strong organisational skills. Excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Agile frameworks. Work with the onshore team and the client directly. Engage with clients/organisation interviews if required. Support and drive the overall detailed design activities to ensure quality is built in from the start. API Testing: Conduct API testing to ensure that data flows seamlessly between various components of the software, adhering to specified protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP). Verify data integrity by executing SQL queries to confirm that data is correctly stored, retrieved, and updated in the database Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Test data manipulation operations, such as inserts, updates, and deletes, to ensure data consistency and accuracy. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures and maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions. Work closely with POs and PMs to create new test cases for the features as well as review and improve the old written test cases. Collaborate with existing QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans and other test-related walkthroughs/documents. Do proactive testing on multiple devices. Defect the bugs and manage the entire bug lifecycle. Conduct hands-on sessions to educate the peer QA engineers. Mentor junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Functional Exposure: Software testing experience of 1 yrs minimum, definitely in a complex environment.Strong experience in web + mobile testing (commercial + product) Best practices for quality assurance, agile, schedules, processes, defect management, test case management & continuous integration environments & formal quality practices. Test data management for stubs and harnesses an advantage Tools & Platforms: Practitioner across various tools like (just an indicative list, experience on similar tools is also fine): Jira, Confluence, Testrail / Bugzilla / X-ray (Test defect management tool) Desirable: Understand the interfaces with Testing Teams and design teams for functional knowledge, feeding in and driving through improvement initiatives and strategy. Management experience within a complex software testing environment Working in a multi-vendor environment. Planning and scheduling Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
