The role

ALS Geochemistry in Malaga is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join our Spectroscopy team, which is committed to exceeding customer expectations by delivering high-quality results on time.

This is a full-time position, where you will be primarily responsible for the operation and calibration of ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.

The role will initially be on day shift during the training period; however, the successful candidate is expected to be available for a weekly rotating roster that includes day and afternoon shifts, as well as occasional weekend work.

The day to day: The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties, including the following: Analysis of samples using ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.

Perform instrument/equipment calibration and maintenance as required

Troubleshooting of instrument and quality issues

Ensuring that client turnaround times are met

Once training is complete, be able to work autonomously

Other duties as the role progresses

Previous experience in ICPOES, AAS, and/or ICPMS is desirable.
