At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and proactive team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors, while minimizing environmental impact and protecting Alstom’s assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Human Resources, Manufacturing, Platform, and Finance), support the Project EHS Manager with risk assessments and emergency plans, and ensure compliance with EHS standards and regulations, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of implementing and maintaining local EHS procedures and tools in alignment with Alstom and international standards, but also contribute to fostering a strong EHS culture within the project team.

We’ll look to you for:

Supporting the Project EHS Manager in all EHS-related topics

Conducting EHS risk assessments and defining measures to control risks

Preparing, implementing, and maintaining emergency plans

Advising project personnel on EHS compliance and best practices

Coordinating and controlling activities to ensure compliance with EHS standards

Developing and maintaining the Project EHS Management System

Ensuring compliance with legal EHS requirements and internal standards

Providing EHS training and organizing toolbox meetings

Capturing, reporting, and analyzing incidents to implement corrective actions

Conducting inspections and audits, and preparing monthly EHS reports

Degree in Engineering (M.E./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech) and a Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution

1–4 years of professional experience in Environment, Health & Safety, depending on the size of the project

Experience in Metro projects, with a strong understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001

Deep knowledge of local legal EHS requirements

Experience in Rolling Stock projects/Depots is a plus

EHS auditor certification is desirable

Teamwork and leadership skills

Strong initiative and action-driven mindset

Effective communication and analytical thinking

Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with continuous improvement tools
