Could you be the full-time Industrial Manufacturing Engineer (VIE Contract) in Hornell we’re looking for?

Your future role

Industrialization & Operations :

Support production ramp-up and process documentation management

Ensure alignment between engineering design and shopfloor execution (work instructions)

Act as a coordination point between Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Robotics teams

Support commissioning and qualification of robotic equipment

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (automation rate, usage, maturity)

Identify issues, escalate when needed, and drive resolution

Contribute to continuous improvement (efficiency, productivity, safety)

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Build and follow dashboards and performance reports

Collect production feedback (REX) to improve processes (Design for Automation)

Participate in lean initiatives and process optimization

Support budget monitoring (planned vs actuals)

Participate in TPM routines

Quality:

Participate in daily quality routines (QRQC)

Contribute to root cause analysis (8D, problem-solving methods)

Track action plans and ensure closure with cross-functional teams

Support process validation (FMEA, improvements implementation)

Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

Experience or understanding of industrialization and manufacturing processes

Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (QRQC, 8D, Lean tools)

Familiarity with production processes and industrial practices

A driver’s license (appreciated)

Strong communication skills and ability to foster collaboration between multiple stakeholders

Fluent English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment

Contract:

12/18 months VIE contract
