Could you be the full-time N&T Radio Designer in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your radio design expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a key role in delivering N&T Sub-System Radio specifications and architecture in alignment with the System Delivery Plan. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (including installation teams, cybersecurity teams, and power experts), support deployment activities such as installation and testing, and contribute to the success of international projects with sustainable local impact.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and eliciting Radio Design requirements, including a focus on Radio spectrum management and cybersecurity, but also support the functional validation phase and provide iterations of installation studies and configuration files throughout the project lifecycle.

We’ll look to you for:

Elaborating N&T Radio Design specifications and architecture (Preliminary and Detailed Design) in line with contractual requirements and engineering rules

Ensuring compliance with country-specific spectrum standards and regulations for RF products

Identifying technology requirements and gaps in collaboration with Product Architects

Executing Radio Interference surveys, trackside surveys, train surveys, and coupling tests

Preparing and executing DCS Radio Training

Supporting installation and commissioning activities, including troubleshooting and performance validation

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

BE/Master’s degree in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience

Design and engineering background

Experience in radio deployments in industrial environments, including interference mitigation

Knowledge of WiFi protocols (802.11a/b/n/ac) and LTE protocols

Experience in technical coordination and design management for telco/IT projects

Proficiency in monitoring tools and techniques (e.g., spectrum analyzer, IP analyzer, MIB principles)

Strong understanding of radio propagation and solutions, with a focus on WiFi deployments

Experience in IT/Supervision (desirable)

Knowledge of signalling and system architecture (desirable)

Resilience, teamwork, and results-oriented mindset

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

Work with new security standards for rail signalling

Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

Contribute to innovative projects

Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment

Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs

Progress towards technical leadership or project management roles

Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
