Could you be the full-time SCC PrEM in Cairo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your system engineering and integration expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful configuration, integration, and delivery of advanced Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), SCADA, and Cybersecurity systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Test & Commissioning, Project Management, and Software Development), oversee system documentation, and ensure the alignment of design with functional requirements, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of the integration of software deliveries across Alstom sites, but also support on-site testing and commissioning activities.

We’ll look to you for:

Managing and planning the configuration of ATS, SCADA, and Cybersecurity systems

Overseeing the integration of software deliveries developed across multiple Alstom sites

Providing support for on-site Test & Commissioning activities

Developing and maintaining system documents, specifications, and other technical documentation

Applying system engineering processes to ensure technical compliance with defined needs and enhancements

Collaborating with other engineers to ensure design alignment with intended functions and architecture

Engaging with project management teams to ensure successful project execution

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

Engineering University Degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering

7-12 years of experience in engineering or engineering management (preferred)

Knowledge of railway systems (preferred)

Experience with automation systems, particularly SCADA products

Understanding of standard and industrial protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, OPC-DA, MODBUS, SNMP, etc.)

Good knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French

Ability to work transversally with engineering teams

Proactive mindset and flexibility to adapt to diverse knowledge areas

A willingness to learn and grow

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines

Work with cutting-edge security standards for rail signalling

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

Contribute to innovative and impactful projects

Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment

Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs

Progress towards leadership roles or specialized technical expertise

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
