Could you be the full-time Reliability Engineer in Sofia we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and project expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside professional and dedicated teammates in Sofia, reporting to Svetoslav.

Step into a key engineering position where you will contribute directly to the safety, reliability, and long‑term performance of our rail solutions. As a RAMS Engineer, you’ll perform critical analyses, produce high‑quality deliverables, and ensure full compliance with engineering processes and customer expectations.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with design, validation, project, and service teams, while maintaining technical coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Your analyses will guide technical decisions, support certification, and influence system performance throughout the entire product lifecycle

We’ll look to you for:

Delivering high‑quality RAMS documentation in line with QCD objectives

Adopting a product‑oriented mindset to support knowledge capitalisation and continuous RAMS performance improvement

Understand and manage the contractual and intrinsic requirements for reliability

Identification of the main failures/components representing product and sub-systems top offenders

Ensure application of APSYS directive, including reliability management

Improving standard of reporting within projects or responsible cluster

Drive utilisation of GSI FRACAS module

Planning and management of own workload and monitoring and reporting against project specific targets

Drive quality of base data used for reliability analysis (using FRB to challenge and drive improvement)

Produce KPIs to monitor, report and prioritise fleet reliability (at fleet, system and failure mode level)

Manage root cause analysis, resolution, implementation and monitoring of effectiveness of solution through cross-functional FRACAS meeting as per the applicable standard

Own and manage reliability growth forecast based on emerging issues and predicted implementation date and effectiveness of technical solutions

All about you

University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering

At least 3 years of experience in the technological field, with a specialization in rolling stock

Good knowledge of PC use, including Word and Excel

Experience with SAP will be advantageous

English language proficiency at an intermediate level or higher. Romanian and/or Italian will be advantegeous

Problem-solving capacity, including technical and cost evaluation of solutions

Ability to manage technical risks

High interpersonal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a strong team-player mindset

Experience in maintenance engineering activities or other functions in a maintenance depot

Cross-functional working

Proven ability to identify critical issues and take ownership of their solutions

Rigor and discipline to apply Alstom processes
