Hi, We have excellent job opportunity for Mechanical Design Engineer for Pune location. Job Description: Position Title Mechanical Design Engineer Job Location – Pune Educational Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical) Experience Required Experience- 3 to 6 years of relevant industry experience Job Title: We are looking for a Diploma/Engineer who can work for Centrifugal Compressor packages in Gas and Process division, Mechanical Team. The Role: You will handle projects for design and development, interact with Team leaders and customers, and present & discuss the proposed designs. Key Responsibilities Understand the scope of work for custom design projects from the Project Leader Interpret the work breakdown structure (WBS) and develop a structured execution plan. Provide accurate effort estimation and timelines to support project planning. Prepare manufacturing and engineering drawings in line with customer specifications. Submit design deliverables for internal and customer review; incorporate feedback and obtain approval. Present progress and milestone updates to the Lead Engineer / Project Leader and implement required changes. Maintain daily status updates and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders. Design 2d and 3D modelling Capabilities Preparation of compressor package General Arrangement (GA) and foundation drawings . Design and detailing of base frames and fabrication drawings . Hands-on experience in 2D drafting and 3D CAD modelling tools Development of 3D models and 2D drawings for piping systems , including: Cooling water systems Lube oil systems Inter-stage compressor piping Tubing layouts Technical Knowledge Requirements Knowledge, ASME code related to pressure vessel, piping and its components , Lube oil system API 614, DIN and ISO standards. Conduct quality checks of self and team's output to achieve adherence to defined quality standards in order to deliver error free outputs "FIRST TIME RIGHT” Knowledge: Basic knowledge of centrifugal compressors packaging , piping , pressure vessel, lube oil system design Knowledge of API, ASME, DIN and ISO standards. Software skills any (Must) – SolidWorks – added advantage Part 3D & 2D modelling & Detailing + 3D & 2D piping modelling and Detailing Autodesk Inventor – Part 3D & 2D modelling & Detailing + 3D & 2D piping modelling and Detailing AutoCAD Enovia Educational and Experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma with 2-5+ years industry experience in similar positions Proficient in Microsoft office. Additional Expectations Strong communication and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within defined timelines. Proactive approach toward problem-solving and continuous improvement. Experience of working on CAD software like Inventor & PLM system Enovia.
