You will be responsible for operating and monitoring lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes across Electrode Fabrication, Cell Assembly, and Formation areas. Your key responsibilities will include: - Executing manufacturing operations such as slurry mixing, coating, drying, calendering, slitting, stacking/winding, welding, electrolyte filling, sealing, formation, aging, grading, and testing. - Ensuring adherence to SOPs, process specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. - Monitoring production parameters and driving improvements in yield, productivity, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). - Troubleshooting process and equipment-related issues in coordination with Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering teams. - Supporting new product introduction (NPI), process validation, commissioning, and production ramp-up activities. - Analyzing manufacturing data and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve process performance. - Participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, waste elimination, cycle time reduction, and process optimization. - Ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines, cleanroom protocols, and manufacturing best practices. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production, quality, and operational targets. You should have knowledge of lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes including Electrode Fabrication, Cell Assembly, and Formation. Understanding battery manufacturing equipment, process controls, and quality systems is essential. Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs such as Yield, OEE, Scrap, Throughput, and Productivity is required. Experience in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, SPC, CAPA, 7QC Tools, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Exposure to MES, ERP, and automated manufacturing systems would be advantageous. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines. Experience: - 26 years of experience in Lithium-Ion Cell Manufacturing, Battery Manufacturing, Electronics Manufacturing, Automotive Manufacturing, or other high-volume manufacturing environments. - Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: Electrode Fabrication, Cell Assembly, Formation, Aging, Grading, or Battery Testing.
