About the role
About the Opportunity We are an early-stage AI startup building a premium AI-powered SaaS platform with global ambitions. Our product combines modern artificial intelligence, scalable cloud infrastructure, and an exceptional user experience to solve a meaningful real-world problem. We are looking for an exceptional engineer who enjoys building products from zero to production. This is not a maintenance role. This is an opportunity to become the primary technical engineer behind a product that is being built with long-term vision, high engineering standards, and significant growth potential. The Role You will own the technical execution of the product. The founder will remain responsible for: Product visionUI/UX designFeature planningCustomer experienceBusiness strategyProduct improvementsYou will be responsible for transforming product requirements into a secure, scalable, production-ready application. This role requires someone who enjoys ownership, can work independently, and is comfortable making technical decisions while collaborating closely with the founder. Responsibilities Design and build scalable application architecture.Develop backend services and APIs.Build modern web applications using Next.js and React.Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases.Develop and manage Supabase infrastructure.Implement secure authentication and user management.Integrate AI models and external APIs.Implement subscription and payment systems using Stripe.Develop usage limits, feature gating, and account management.Build dashboards and internal administration tools.Configure CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.Maintain code quality through testing, reviews, and documentation.Review and improve AI-assisted code generation.Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.Recommend architectural improvements as the product evolves.Required Technical Skills Strong experience with: TypeScriptNext.jsReactNode.jsSupabasePostgreSQLREST APIsGit & GitHubVercelStripeAuthentication & AuthorizationAI API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)Cloud deploymentPerformance optimizationProduction debuggingPreferred Experience Experience building one or more of the following: AI SaaS platformsAI assistants or chat applicationsRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)Vector databasesSemantic searchAI agentsSubscription-based softwareAnalytics dashboardsMulti-language applicationsHigh-growth startup productsWhat We're Looking For We are looking for an A+ engineer who: Has built and shipped production software.Thinks like an owner rather than an employee.Can work with minimal supervision.Makes sound architectural decisions.Writes clean, maintainable, well-documented code.Understands how to use AI development tools effectively.Communicates clearly and proactively.Enjoys solving difficult technical challenges.We care far more about engineering quality, ownership, and problem-solving ability than years of experience alone.
