About the role
Were partnering with a leading global, technology-driven investment firm seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join its global compute engineering team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys building scalable, resilient and automated platforms supporting complex, data-intensive environments (Linux / Python / Cloud / Ansible / Terraform). Youll be responsible for designing, building and optimising compute platforms that power high-performance workloads across a global footprint. Working closely with engineering teams, youll drive infrastructure-as-code, automation frameworks, observability and internal tooling, improving reliability, scalability and developer productivity. Key responsibilities Architect and evolve scalable, high-performance compute platformsBuild automation for provisioning, configuration and lifecycle managementDevelop internal tools, APIs and abstractions to simplify infrastructureDrive observability across metrics, logs and tracesPartner with engineering teams on scalability, reliability and securitySupport incident response and continuous platform improvementMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices What were looking for Strong Linux expertise (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)Solid Python programming skillsStrong hands-on experience with Ansible and TerraformExperience with AWS or GCP and cloud-native servicesDevOps mindset with strong Git-based workflows This is a strong opportunity to join a high-calibre engineering environment where infrastructure is treated as a core discipline.
