THE Role
Support development and deployment of diagnostic tests that validate AMD Data Center GPU products at all test stages, from silicon screening to server rack assembly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is primarily focused on test development (60%) , including designing and implementing diagnostic tests for AMD silicon and server platforms, developing test automation frameworks, debugging hardware and test failures across production stages, and improving test coverage and execution efficiency. The remaining 40% centers on cross-functional coordination , leading root cause analysis for production issues, collaborating with silicon design, firmware, systems integration, performance, and manufacturing teams to resolve failures, supporting manufacturing test bring-up, coordinating test deployments, and tracking quality and production readiness metrics. Additional responsibilities include maintaining test code quality through code reviews, documenting test and deployment procedures, and providing occasional lab and factory support as needed. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Software development or test engineering experience Silicon validation, manufacturing test, and production environments Low-level hardware/software debugging and root cause analysis Server, datacenter, and system architecture knowledge Python, C++, SQL/Snowflake, Linux, and shell scripting Git, code reviews, test automation, and diagnostic tools GPU/accelerator technologies and performance analysis GPU programming frameworks (ROCm preferred; CUDA/OpenCL/Vulkan/OpenGL) Strong technical documentation and communication skills Proven cross-functional collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent experience considered
