Senior DevOps Engineer

Job description Join Team Amex and lets lead the way together. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud or on-premises infrastructure. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating build, test, and deployment processes. Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system reliability and performance. Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to align goals and optimize workflows. Use tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef to manage infrastructure as code (IaC). Ensure infrastructure and applications adhere to security best practices, including vulnerability management. Diagnose and resolve system and application issues in real time. Monitor and optimize resource usage to ensure cost efficiency and high availability. Maintain detailed documentation for processes, tools, and workflows. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in DevOps or a related role. + years of Working proficiency with AWS Cloud Experience with creating and setting up Github Actions 7+ years plus experience working on Kubernetes based Containers Orchestration Platforms - Openshift preferred 7 years plus experience working with Infrastructure as Code Terraform Working proficiency with programming languages - Node.js, golang preferred Experience setting up or integration with Observability tools (Includes Monitoring, Logging, Synthetic Tests) like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk. Datadog preferred Experience with troubleshooting on public cloud infrastructure ( AWS preferred) Working Knowledge of Postgresql Databases and Cache Engines 7 years plus Experience with Traffic management and routing - F5 setup experience or working proficiency desired Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) Knowledge of Istio Service mesh is a plus Experience with microservices architecture. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking. Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
