The Role Lead Snowflake architecture, governance, performance optimization, and operational reliability across enterprise data warehouse environments. Use specific relational database management systems, develop and implement database recovery mechanisms and security procedures. What You Will Do Architect and administer Snowflake environmentsOptimize performance and cost governanceImplement RBAC and compliance controlsDesign replication and disaster recovery strategiesLead production incident responseSupport multiple database technologies on public and private cloud infrastructure for business-critical applicationsTroubleshoot, patch, upgrade, report, tune for performance and handle operational issuesImprove and promote operational scalability and standardization.Deploy, configure, and maintain a variety of database and cloud technologiesDiagnose OS, network and storage issues related to databaseCoordinating with IT and developers on new product releasesCreate tools and processes to automate administration and monitoringWork with Database and Cloud vendors to resolve challenges as neededOn-call support What You Will Have 6+ years of data platform or database engineering experience2+ years administering Snowflake in production2+ years managing high-availability or DR strategiesExperience supporting cloud-based data platformsProblem-solving skills with various SQL and No-SQL technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake)Scripting language Exposure/Experience (Bash, Korn, Perl, Python) What Will Set You Apart Snowflake performance optimization expertiseOracle, MSSQL and MySQL support experienceCertifications: Snowflake, Oracle, MSSQLInfrastructure as Code for SnowflakeExperience in regulated environments .
