NLP Engineer

As an NLP Engineer, your role will involve designing end-to-end Java applications, performing statistical analysis of results, and refining models. You will be responsible for finding and implementing the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks. Additionally, you will study and transform data science prototypes, extend ML libraries and frameworks for NLP tasks, and design databases to store NLP entities and relationships. It is essential to remain updated in the rapidly changing field of machine learning to ensure that you can write robust and testable code, train and evaluate models effectively, and utilize text representation techniques and classification algorithms. Key Responsibilities: - Designing end-to-end Java applications - Performing statistical analysis of results and refining models - Finding and implementing algorithms and tools for NLP tasks - Studying and transforming data science prototypes - Extending ML libraries and frameworks for NLP tasks - Designing databases to store NLP entities and relationships - Remaining updated in the field of machine learning - Writing robust and testable code - Training and evaluating models - Using effective text representation techniques and classification algorithms - Designing and developing NLP applications for medical entity extraction and text mining Qualifications Required: - Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Keras, openly) and libraries (e.g., sci-kit-learn) - Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction, data structures, and modeling - Familiarity with Ontology tools and technologies - Knowledge of Python and SQL - Proven experience as an NLP Engineer or similar role - Track record in NLP/NLU and related technologies - Clinical NLP experience (cTakes, UIMA) - Strong Java development experience preferred Please note that this job description does not include any additional details about the company.
