Database Administrator/dba Engineer

As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Able to communicate effectively with management, technicians, and end-users to assess needs prior to developing an automated solution. - Prepare detailed reports, including system requirements such as concurrent usage factors, data storage requirements, response rates, and procedures for processing data using database management systems (DBMS) like relational databases. - Apply your knowledge and experience in database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., COGNOS)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL). - Project long-term requirements for database administration and design in collaboration with other managers in the information systems function. - Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment. - Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server setting to ensure accurate and appropriate data usage. - Provide advice to users on accessing various client/server databases. - Design, implement, and maintain complex databases, considering access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
