About the role
As an ETL Developer, your role involves designing and developing ETL jobs and processes to meet the business requirements for the Data Warehouse. You will be expected to have at least 6+ years of experience in ETL development and be familiar with Informatica or any other ETL tool. Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Big Data is essential. Additionally, having skills in metadata management and ensuring data integrity will be advantageous for this role. Your key responsibilities will include: - Creating prototypes and ETL specifications based on requirements and data analysis - Designing and developing ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions - Writing scripts for Oracle database tables and conducting unit tests - Developing and modifying UNIX scripts - Ensuring compliance with locally defined standards for all developed components - Supporting the development and design of the internal data integration framework - Coordinating change controls and obtaining approvals for implementation - Participating in the design of recent Data Warehouse projects - Conducting unit tests and initial QA tests using test data - Participating in design and development reviews - Collaborating with source system owners to address source data issues and refine transformation rules Basic knowledge of UNIX is necessary for this role.
