About the role
As a Senior Database Administrator, your role involves collaborating with internal and external customers to develop value-added programs and data solutions using the existing data structure. You will be responsible for building and maintaining multiple Cassandra Clusters in lower non-production environments. Additionally, your tasks will include planning, coordinating, and administering database systems, acting as a liaison with customers, and testing designed applications. You will also play a crucial role in developing data models, planning architecture, and staying updated with relevant technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Create ad-hoc reports by utilizing various data sources - Analyze information needs, data relationships, data flow, and storage requirements - Research, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions for business issues - Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and functionality - Perform performance tuning of SQLs, stored procedures, and plan and execute AWS migration of the database - Plan, coordinate, and execute the migration of data from the existing Oracle DB to Cassandra DB - Create and monitor dashboards Qualifications Required: - Experience in automating the building and setting up multiple Cassandra Clusters in AWS public cloud - Proficiency in Jenkins Scripting - Strong skills in SQL tuning - Solid experience as an Oracle and Cassandra DBA with 5 - 7 years of experience - Knowledge of AWS environment, AWS Certification, Oracle Certification, or Cassandra Certification Please note that the job description does not contain any additional details about the company.
