Network Management Engineer

As a Network Engineer at a global leader in inflight entertainment and connectivity solutions, you will be responsible for supporting the next-gen Traffic Management Platform used in SD-WAN and cloud-native environments. Your role will involve working across networking, virtualization, automation, and API integration. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and optimize network infrastructure. - Tune traffic policies and analyze performance/bottlenecks. - Automate tasks using Python, Bash, Ansible & REST APIs. - Troubleshoot network issues, monitor traffic, and perform maintenance/upgrades. - Create documentation and support cross-functional projects. - Participate in on-call rotation & flexible hours for US overlap. Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of network architectures, TCP/IP, L2/L3, VLANs, STP, routing. - Linux/Unix admin expertise. - Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V (virtualization). - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, AWK; Automation with Ansible. - Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP) and SQL/DB skills (PostgreSQL, Vertica). - Knowledge of CI/CD practices. - Familiarity with Datadog, Dynatrace is preferable. - Experience with migrations, upgrades & network operations. - Ability to lead technical implementation projects. As a qualified candidate, you should have a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering (Masters preferred) with at least 4+ years of experience in Network Operations/Development. Additionally, you should have experience working in Agile/Scrum & SDLC environments to succeed in this role.
