About the role
As a Penetration Tester at ANZ, your role involves providing authoritative leadership over penetration testing strategy, execution integrity, and continuous improvement to keep ANZ safe through the active identification of cyber security threats. Your responsibilities will include: - Planning, prioritising, and driving penetration testing activities across ANZs enterprise environments - Ensuring the safety, integrity, and effectiveness of penetration testing engagements - Identifying vulnerabilities across complex environments and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations - Shaping and evolving penetration testing standards, QA, policy, and operating models - Defining risk-based testing strategies aligned to the threat landscape and business priorities - Engaging with senior leaders and executives to communicate outcomes and assurance - Assessing internal capability and external providers to ensure quality and value - Driving continual improvement and innovation in penetration testing practices To be successful in this role, you should bring: - 10+ years of experience in enterprise security domain with specialization in penetration testing - Recognized industry credibility and advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GPEN - Strong alignment with industry-standard penetration testing and related frameworks like OWASP, PTES - Proven expertise in penetration testing across various application and system types - Deep technical capability in penetration testing spanning multiple domains - Extensive hands-on experience across the full penetration testing lifecycle - Proficiency in both automated/manual testing techniques and advanced exploitation methodologies - Advanced understanding of modern development ecosystems and security toolsets - Familiarity with AI ecosystems, LLM frameworks, and AI penetration testing tools/platforms - Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and team capability upliftment - Strategic and commercial acumen to translate technical findings into business risk insights ANZ is a place where big things happen, with a community of over 5,000 engineers driving the banks transformation initiatives.
