Senior SQL Developer

As a Senior SQL Developer at Apex Group, your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing core database systems. You will be responsible for building robust and scalable database architectures, optimizing complex queries, and ensuring maximum data integrity and security. Key Responsibilities: - Database Development: Design and implement relational database structures, schemas, and complex programmable objects (T-SQL/PL-SQL stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions). - Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and analyze query logs to identify bottlenecks. Implement advanced indexing strategies, query execution plans, and performance tweaks for optimal system speed. - Data Integration (ETL): Build, monitor, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for secure movement and transformation of large volumes of data across systems. - Data Governance & Security: Enforce data validation, quality, and integrity checks. Maintain database security and compliance protocols to safeguard sensitive information. - Maintenance & Support: Conduct regular database backups, recovery procedures, and version control for schema deployments. Provide support for production-level applications and troubleshoot after-hours when necessary. - Team Collaboration: Act as a subject matter expert, guide junior developers, participate in code reviews, and write technical specifications. Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience: 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in database development and programming within a production environment. - Nice to have: Advanced command of SQL and its variations (e.g., T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or PL/SQL for Oracle).
