Job Title : Field Engineering Test Specialist Location : Chennai RD Reports to (Position) : Kaliappan . DepartmentFunction : RD - TESTING - CV, OHT INDOOR Purpose of the Job : To conduct vehicle level field evaluation validate the performance of all categories of Tyres in controlled conditions as per test plan requirement To monitor tyre duty cycle through sensorisation and compare the tyre performance To provide competitive intelligence product performance and act as Eyes Ears of RD Identify anomaly through On-the-Go analysis and collaborate with teams to take corrective and preventive actions Major Responsibilities : Plan, schedule and organize tyre field evaluation as per Standard Operating Procedures Work instructions (P) Responsible for on-time fitment through right customerfleet (P) identification and vehicle alignment as per test requirement (P) Periodical inspection of all test vehicles and do virtual gemba for early mediation as per target (P) Prepare decisive closure tyre damage reports according to business requirement and share with internal stake holders (D) Sensorization of Test tyrevehicle as per plan, control test conditionsanalyse tyre performance against duty cycle (D) Tracking performance of major competitions vs equivalent Apollo tyresOEM fitments for comparative evaluation (P) To improve testing efficiency, identify large test fleets, develop rapport and train customers for optimizing tyre performance (P) Adhering Apollo Safety Environment policy at all times to maintain zero accident (S) Interface with internal and external stake holders to facilitate testing evaluation as per schedule (M) Maintain Calibrate testing equipment with ownership mindset to ensure its functions compliance with standards (Q) Domestic Testing Locations: 1 YAMUNANAGAR 2 DELHI 3 SHAHPURA 4 JAIPUR 5 AHMEDABAD 6 GUWAHATI 7 BARBIL 8 INDORE 9 HUBLI 10 HYDERABAD 11 VIJAYAWADA 12 CHENNAI 13 SALEM International Locations: 1 DUBAI 2 THAILAND 3 SOUTH AFRICA 4 INDONESIA Knowledge (Technical Functional) Knowledge in Tyre testing standards Knowledge on parameters governing tyre performance - Driving severity, road topography and Vehicle-mechanismalignment Knowledge in Tyre Defect failure Mechanism Familiar with MS office tools such Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, One Drive Sharepoint Skills: Testing and evaluation as per standard Measurement system analysis (MSA) Conceptual, analytical problem-solving skills System Thinking growth mindset.
