Facilities Chemical & Gas Engineer

Role Overview: Applied Materials is seeking an India Lab Facilities Engineer to be a subject matter expert in Gas & Chemical Engineering with hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves managing the infrastructure to support semiconductor processing in the lab located in Bangalore and Mumbai. As a member of the Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of Gas & Chemical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Overall Infrastructure Management: You will contribute to the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of Gas & Chemical infrastructure to support semiconductor processing in the lab. - Plan: Support the Lab Facilities Engineering Lead in planning the roadmap for the lab, including understanding internal customer tooling requirements, feasibility studies, capacity planning, and budget execution. - Build: Assist in building to the plan by managing all retrofit, EOL, and engineering projects within the lab, ensuring tool hook-ups to facilities utility infrastructure, and engaging in effective cross-functional collaboration. - Run: Support the Lab Facilities Engineering Lead in running the lab 24x7 with high availability, reliability, and zero downtime. Implement a Chemical & Gas management system, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive reliability and efficiency improvements. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Gas & Chemical Engineering - 7+ years of experience in managing facilities operations for semiconductor Fab or AT site - Certifications such as CFM, IFMA, PE, CE, etc. - Understanding of safety regulations, codes, and control systems in gas and chemical management - Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada languages - Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams Additional Information: - Time Type: Full time - Employee Type: Assignee / Regular - Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time - Relocation Eligible: Yes As an India Lab Facilities Engineer at Applied Materials, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the lab facilities, driving improvements, and maintaining a high level of reliability and efficiency.
