QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Up to 8-10 years of software development experience in a professional environment andor comparable experience

• Develop manual and automated test strategies test plans test conditions and test configurations to validate business requirements

• Design develop and maintain API test automation frameworks using Java Rest Assured Maven and TestNG

• Execute functional integration regression and performance testing using automated scripts and tools such as Postman Insomnia and ReadyAPI

• Create and maintain performance scalability security and reliability test scripts using Apache JMeter

• Provide integration testing support and troubleshooting assistance to API consumers

• Create manage and maintain test data and virtualized mock environments required for end-to-end testing

• Support end-to-end testing activities including test data generation database validation issue troubleshooting and progress reporting

• Review user stories and technical specifications to identify functional gaps edge cases negative scenarios and nonfunctional risks and provide recommendations

• Collaborate closely with development teams to drive quality deliverables through test automation processes tools metrics environments and data management

• Monitor track report and coordinate defect resolution with Agile scrum teams

• Support CICD pipelines code deployments releases and production validations through Jenkins and related tooling

• Monitor application logging analyze user flows troubleshoot issues and help maintain service availability targets

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process quality and automation enhancements

• Define implement and integrate quality engineering principles into software development and IT processes within a fast-paced Agile environment

• Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java 8 and REST API development testing

• Handson experience with API test automation using Rest Assured TestNG and Maven

• Experience with Postman Insomnia ReadyAPI or similar API testing tools

• Experience supporting API integrations and external internal API consumers

• Strong understanding of test case design including edge cases negative testing and risk-based testing

• Experience managing test data mocking stubbing dependent services and creating virtual test environments

• Experience troubleshooting issues using application logs and tracing end-to-end user flows

• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation reporting and test support activities

• Experience with CICD processes code promotion release validation and Jenkins

• Handson experience with JMeter and nonfunctional testing including performance scalability and security testing

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices

• Working knowledge of backend technologies including APIs databases asynchronous messaging and cloud computing

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business product and technology teams
