About the role
Role Overview: As an Audit Analytics and Visualization Specialist at Aptiv, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobility by utilizing your expertise in internal audit data analysis. You will work in a dedicated Data Analytics team to design and implement analytics, operational metric dashboards, and other special projects to support internal auditors and drive process improvements. Your role will involve supporting all phases of the audit life cycle, including risk assessment, planning, scoping, testing, and reporting. By leveraging your skills in data analytics tools and continuous auditing techniques, you will contribute to enhancing audit effectiveness and efficiency using technology. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize data analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL queries to automate audit testing and develop techniques for continuous auditing. - Analyze large volumes of data, document complex processes, and design data analytics scripts to support financial, operational, IT, and SOX audits. - Develop and maintain a library of standard and repeatable analytics tests and dashboards to identify outliers, conduct transactional sampling, and assess risks. - Collaborate with stakeholders to refine existing analytics, identify new opportunities for audit improvement, and enhance audit effectiveness through technology. - Create data visualizations using Tableau to communicate insights and outliers from business data to audit and management teams. - Provide proactive solutions for identifying internal control weaknesses and regulatory compliance issues using data analytics tools and machine learning techniques. - Support the maintenance, enhancement, and improvement of audit planning tools by utilizing platforms such as SharePoint Lists, MS Power Apps, and MS Excel Power Query. - Conduct special investigations into allegations of impropriety related to company assets/information and provide training and support to internal audit team members on analytic tools. Qualification Required: - Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics. - 8 to 12 years of business experience, preferably including experience at Big 4 professional services companies in external audit, internal audit, IT audit, consulting, or risk advisory services. - Proficiency in SQL scripting, visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI, and experience with automation tools such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep. - Familiarity with machine learning models and methodologies using R and Python, as well as knowledge of accounting, finance principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. - Experience working with SAP data (ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA) and the ability to interpret reports and raw tables' data from these systems would be advantageous.
