Tool Room Fixtures Assembly Manager

As a Tool Room Fixtures Assembly Manager, your role involves managing the assembly, maintenance, and modification of tools, jigs, and fixtures, particularly in high-precision industries like mobile phone manufacturing. You will be responsible for ensuring that tools are produced efficiently, on time, and meet high-quality standards. Your technical expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting issues and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, you will be overseeing outside vendors to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of tooling components when required. Your responsibilities will also include utilizing CAD/CAM software for fixture design, interpreting blueprints and GD&T standards, and having hands-on experience with conventional and CNC machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM. You will be expected to be familiar with composite bonding and fastening techniques and work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced design engineering team, participating in DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other risk management events. In this role, you will review and critique 2D drawings, develop, and manage tooling specifications, and provide support for all first article inspection requirements for tooling, prototyping, and PPAP events as part of the design lifecycle.
