BI Data Visualization Specialist

Role Overview: You will be joining Rently Software Development Private Limited, a subsidiary of Consumer 2.0, dedicated to innovating technology for the Rental markets in the USA. Rently is known for its cloud-based solutions that enhance the renting process, including a pioneering self-showing solution for residential rental vacancies. As a BI Data Visualization Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy business analytics dashboards using SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI. You will play a crucial role in improving data quality, reporting, and advanced analytics for the organization by creating interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards that convert raw data into meaningful insights. Your expertise in Power BI will be instrumental in proposing solutions to meet various business needs and working with data from different departments like Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success. Key Responsibilities: - Understand BI business requirements and design data models for converting raw data into meaningful insights. - Create rich, insightful, and user-friendly dashboards with interactive visuals using Power BI. - Utilize DAX and built-in functions in Power BI to manipulate, prepare, and present data effectively. - Develop, deploy, and automate Power BI scripts for detailed analysis and improved data visualization. - Analyze data to present reports that facilitate decision-making processes. - Document technical specifications, data definitions, and assumptions for end-users. - Connect Power BI to Snowflake for automated data flows and perform SQL querying for optimal performance. - Implement filters and slicers in dashboards for enhanced data insight. Qualifications Required: - BA or BS in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related discipline; advanced degree is a plus. - Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence using cloud warehouse for business analytics. - Extensive experience in data visualization with Power BI using cloud data warehouse. - Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and DAX, with basic knowledge of Python or R being advantageous. - Proven ability to create, deliver, and support dashboards, data aggregation, and ETL processes. - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on action and results, along with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences. - Analytical mindset with a collaborative approach to work, proactively identifying trends and troubleshooting data issues.
